Hi All,

I've just run a Get-ServerHealth on my EX13 MultiRole Server and its come back with;

[PS] C:\Windows\system32>Get-HealthReport -Identity newreport
WARNING: A server-side Active monitoring operation has failed. Microsoft Exchange Health Manager (MSExchangeHM) service
 may not be running on server newreport. Specific RPC error message: Error 0x6ba (The RPC server is unavailable) from
cli_RpccGenericRequest

I've made sure the service is running (of course) I've even gone to the length of restarting the node. 

Has anyone come across this before, or can anyone help?

You have to give Exchange server name in Identity parameter...

I'm not really looking for how the command executes I'm looking more at 'why' its gone into an Unknown state.

If servername is correct then next step is to check Microsoft Exchange Health Manager service is running or not, if it is running then try restarting it...

it is running and I've restarted it a couple of times now with no luck. I still get the Unknown Status.

Surely someone must of had this before!? I would imagine I would just need to re-run a command to gether the server health?

You don't really have to run any command to generate health report.

Do you see result when you run Get-ServerHealth -Identity E2013ServerName ?

When I execute Get-ServerHealth -Id EX13ServerName I get the below result

The problem is the result of Unknown 'not' the command I'm using to generate the result. I want to know why I get Unknown...

No one has an answer to this?

Do you get any other error in the event log? Which CU you have installed? Are you running it locally? I still suspect that it not able to identify the correct server name and gives this error... "Specific RPC error message: Error 0x6ba (The RPC server is unavailable) from cli_RpccGenericRequest"

Make sure that the Microsoft Exchange Health Manager (MSExchangeHM) service is started.  The command is completing, it is just returning Unknown results.  Either the Health Manager service isn't running or there is a problem with your Health Monitoring mailboxes.  A quick start or restart of the Health Manager service is a good 1st step.  Try running your Get-HealthReport cmdlet again once this is complete - the syntax you posted is valid.
